I’m Hannah Misler, a mom to 5 (soon to be 6) kids who recently reignited her love of art in the form of realistic colored pencil drawing.

I was as surprised as you…aren’t colored pencils for kids?! Through the teaching of Bonny Snowdon Academy I have learned just how special these pencils can be and now know many techniques, color theory and how to create various textures with them. I don’t have a formal art degree but I have always had an eye for detail which lends itself perfectly to this medium.

Between my busy life homeschooling my kids and taking care of our home, I squeeze in time to draw people’s beloved pets as well as my own original drawings. I enjoy the timely process of creating depth and realism through many (many) layers of carefully placed pencil strokes. Although I haven’t been doing this long, my work has been well received and I hope to continue growing and perfecting my skills.
